Annual print competition

Our judge this year is Jordyn O’Keeffe, who runs several popular photography courses through Wellington High School’s community education programme, and also does private tuition. Jordyn will briefly critique each image in a constructive way.

The categories this year are as follows.

• Open (i.e. any subject – “open” is not the subject!)
• Suburbia

As well as selecting the winning image for each category, Jordyn will also announce an overall winner.

Competition rules

• Maximum number of three entries in total per member.
• Each photo can be entered in one category only.
• Images must not have been entered in any previous WPS Print or Projected Image competition.
• Prints to be mounted but unframed.
• Minimum size of print: 10” (254 mm) along the longer edge.
• Maximum size of mat and/or mount 16”x20” (406 mm x 508 mm).
• A print competition entry form must be completed for each print and attached to the back of the mount at the centre top.
• The entry form is at the end of the June edition of Impact.
• Closing date for entries: Thursday, 10 June.

Entries can be brought along to the 10 June members’ night or can be left at Wellington Photographic Supplies,11-15 Vivian Street up to 5pm on 10 June.

If you leave them at WPS, it’s imperative that you call the Competitions Secretary, Catherine Cattanach, on 389 2241 to let her know they are there.
