About WPS

At WPS our aim is to encourage the study and practice of photography. Our meetings are run on a fairly informal basis and you can be sure to learn something new at every meeting - whether you have been interested in photography for years or just starting out.

The society has been around for quite some time so there are well established links within the New Zealand photography world.

At our meetings you get the chance to listen to and meet some of New Zealand’s established and up and coming photographers. You also have the opportunity to display your own work and to receive feedback and encouragement from other members.

Overall we want our members to come along to the meetings to learn new techniques, get inspired with new ideas and above all have an enjoyable evening.
