It’s in the bag
8pm Thursday, 25 Feb 2010 (Note - new time for this week only),
Tararua Tramping Club, Moncrieff St, Mt Victoria
We will get to see what our members have done with bag of nine everyday items. Each person will have submitted their five best images.
The images will be loosely grouped and firstly we will run through them all. Then you, the members, will judge the best images in various groupings and we’ll have prizes for various categories.
The judging will be anonymous – you will write your choice down on paper and we’ll count the “votes”. It will be a fun night, so come along even if you didn’t particpate in the competition.
The 48-hour film festival – Matt Mueller & James Ogle

Matt and James will talk about on their experience shooting the 48-hour movie on the Canon 5D Mark II cameras, including the ups and downs they found as part of the experience.
They’ll also be showing the movie that they shot.
President’s potpourri

Kick the new WPS year off with our President Jenny O'Connor. In a fairly relaxed and informal way, the evening will be a potpourri of discussion, debate and appreciation of photography and, of course, looking at photography.
It will also be a chance to check out the new venue and re-acquaint with old members and meet new ones.
Christmas social and quiz

It’s becoming a tradition - this will be our fourth annual quiz to test your photographic knowledge.
We’ll form up into teams of four or five and tackle six rounds of questions, with some small prizes for the winners. We’ll also have some drinks and members are asked to bring a plate.
WPS Special Interest Group presentations
7.30pm, Tuesday, 24 November 2009, The Arts Centre, 61-69 Abel Smith St
The WPS Special Interest Groups (SIGs) provide forums in which members can learn, be challenged, and develop their photography in a supportive group environment.
